Diesel Break In Period

How long does it take till you get the expected mileage in a brand new diesel x5. wat sort of mileage should i expect on my first tank ?

I averaged 24 mpg with my first tank. That is more 45 mph roads than anything, not really any stop and go or express way traveling.

At 6800 miles I am getting 23mpg with 80% freeway 20% in town driving

I get 26 mpg with x6 50i
