2008 E70 X5 4.8I hiccup, miss at idle no codes HELP please
I am new here so please forgive me if I am doing this wrong. I have a BMW 2008 E70 X5 4.8i with 140k mileage on the clock. It has no current, pending or history codes but at idle after warming up and idling down to 600ish rpm it has a stumble / miss even though it is showing no codes or faults. I tried to attach a video with sound for reference but cannot seem to do so (I am positive it is my fault). I have replaced coils, plugs, recently had the oil and filter changed, it has a new battery registered to the vehicle. Above 1k rpm it smooths out and runs great, but at idle it chugs, hiccups, runs rough (however you would like to describe it). By the way it only seems to do this strongly out the driver side exhaust tip. Any help would be much appreciated. Than you.

It could be 1 of few things, I've had this issue with my previous car:
1. Throttle body (either the throttle body itself or the sensors on it could have worn out) 2. PCV valves 3. And from the smoke, I think you have a valve stem seals issue That's all I could think of. Maybe the veterans here can be more knowledgeable than I am. |
