I have everything at home ready to do the swap. Thanks Northern for pointing me here. I am planning to do the programming for this, the 6disk DVD, and trailer module all at once

I am in the process of the install - I did all the wiring today, incl the power source and FRM module...

Only thing mechanically remaining is to remove bumper and current lights and install the LED lights.

I am still trying to figure out what VO changes and coding needs to be done.

I am all in for any help on that front

See this thread for install pics and write-up

Here is what you need to do on the coding side of things:

Remove $522 and $524 (AHL if you have) and add $552 to CAS & FRM and code car. If you are not comfortable coding the whole car then just code CAS, KOMBI and FRM with expert profile.

Here is a link to official BMW LED headlights retrofit diagram:

only neg thing so far - I get lots of other drivers flashing their lights at me - thinking I have high beams on...I need to see if I can adjust the height (beyond the auto level)

My guess is - they see the 4 separate "lights" and think I have my high beams on and the lights are so much whiter and brighter

Never happened to me so far..........
You can adjust the height of the lights, the left one is always lower than the right one, thats the way it comes from factory, you can do that easily just park your car in front of a wall, the just adjust the bolts
Good luck

How do you tell if your beam pattern is to high or low? What at he official way to set the height? Where are the bolts?

We used a brand new X6 with factory LED's and we put both cars against a wall side by side and just copied the factory alignment, as for the bolts just look at the back of each light they look like a flower with a torx center

Sorry for my late reply I was out of town...
One bolt is for the height or vertical alignment and the other is for the horizontal alignment, put your car in front of a wall and you will understand how it works
Good luck

LED headlights look absolutely great! Can you please explain at which part does the LED harness cable exits cabin and enters engine compartment?
