Nice photos, nice car, and nice camera setup. I've been shooting for couple years now and am still rocking the 30D! haha

Very nice pictures, certainly beyond most beginner pics. Both the X6 and the model pictures.

One tip, try the Chicago skyline pic in between the trees, so its not growing out the sunroof. Note the closer you get to the car, the bigger it looks to the buildings so pick the distance and required zoom to get a pleasing car angle and proportion between the X6 and buildings.

to Sharpie 12...I am new to the forum, love the pics. I am getting a new X6 5.0i in azurite black with the piano black trim in a month or so. Do you think you could send me the specs on the lowering links and springs that you have as the car has great presence anyway but this looks outstanding. thanks

You guys are really funny. :-P

Piano black...that will look beautiful, congrats. Thanks for the kind words. The springs are H&R and I lowered it 1 inch in the rear and 2 in the front. You're either going to need 4 springs or 2 springs in front and 2 lowering links in the rear. That obviously depends on whether or not you have self leveling suspension in the rear.

SLRs are a lot of fun, it'll quickly become a fun (and expensive) hobby.

Use "Slow Sync" on your camera/flash. i.e., if the car is stationary (you should use a tripod) the camera first exposes for the ambient lighting and THEN flashes for the balance of the exposure. You'll get good or at least better results. FWIW

Messed around with your last picture. Not sure I was able to improve it that much. GREAT looking cars!

Beautiful car and model/girlfriend! Try panning the camera with the car. You will then show motion (by the background being blurred) and the car will be in focus. Not the best article; however you'll get the idea.

Sorry you took my comments the wrong way.

You have natural photographic talent. Just trying to give you some photographic pointers.
