Finally pulled the trigger on a used 2011 X5
finalized a deal today on a 2011 X5 premium with just about every option but the running boards. From what I have read they may not be worth it so will hold off on adding them. I would like to add DVD to the rear if anyone knows a good headrest system? Once I pickup the car ill upload some pics. Is have the black interior.

Looks nice - we love ours had it for just 1 yr now
Only regret is I wish we would have gotten the sport trim instead of the premium trim, the 315s and sport suspension make a big difference in body roll and corners compared to the base susp and the 255s on the premium trim.

This topic came up in another post-with today's technology bypass a DVD player and go with an ipad or something similar in the back. It will save you the hassle of keeping up with DVD's, and is more portable if you need to take it out and use it elsewhere...flights for example. We got the iPad 2 16gb wifi and plan to get the Vogel Ringo car mount...looks slick. Here is a link to the mount.
http://www.ipadonthewall.com/ringo/ Great X5 by the way, we are going with Alpine White as well. What color interior?

So far love the car but the running boards were installed and they do stick out when getting in and out. I have the black interior and love it.

I have read that a few times about the running boards...but they work well for us when ever we tried them out...and given that my wife is 4'11" they are a must for her...

Congratulations, looks like a nice catch there. I had the running boards on my first X5 but I don't have them on my current X5 and I don't miss them. I guess it's a personal preference.
