8-speed transmission for the 35d?

Does anyone know whether BMW plans to offer the 8-speed transmission in the 2013 X5 35d? I cannot really find any chatter on expected changes to the X5 (other than the X5 M) for the 2013 model year. Any insights would be helpful. Many thanks.
