Non RFT Tyres

Hi there, I have a 2010 X5 50i m-sport with 275 / 315 setup but wanted to upgrade the tyre size to non run flats on the 20 inch. I want to raise the sidewall height i.e 275/45 or 275/50 so it can be better on the road comfort side and gain some sort of offered ability (tyre sense wise). Please advise what sizes if anyone has tried and also what to look out within x drive system. Thanks in advance

The car will already ride much smoother with non-rft, you may not need to go with an increased sidewall height. I switched and the difference is dramatic.

Thanks guys, but I was also interested in the sidewall being raised as I have a range rover sport also with 275/40 setup all round with non RFT and when I went to 275/45 setup the ride was oober comfortable on & off road. Appreciate your replies though.
