Stereo Memory Size (2012)

Hello all,

Does anybody know the on-board memory size available to download music? I have a (new) 2012 X5 premium with the basic 10 speakers stereo. I want to download some songs, and it will help me understand how much I can do.

For reference, first sound out of the radio sounded like a crappy 80’s plastic boom box. Very disappointing. After customizing the settings and connecting my iphone the new album from Anne Akiko I can say that the sound is amazing! I actually drove around the block to finish the song. It appears that digital encoded music has better distribution for the 10 speakers creating a better ambiance and spatial definition.

I'm not sure on the exact size but right now I have about 1500 songs, maybe even more, stored

The BMW hard drive system provides 12GB of space for music.
