Thule Rack on an X6

Here's from the FWIW dept:

Rack options for the X6 are the OEM BMW roof rails:

But in order to use these you still need crossbars. For this Thule makes the ARB53 AeroBlade Load Bar ($150). In order to install the load bars to the factory rack you need the 450R Rapid Traverse Foot Pack ($190) which clamps the load bars to the factory rack.

The above gets pricey with a lot of parts, and I personally didn't want the factory rack permanently installed, so I opted for just the Thule setup which requires the following:
1. ARB53 AeroBlade Load Bar Pair ($150 - bought at local REI during a 20% off sale for 130)
2. 480R Rapid Traverse Foot Pack ($190 - bought at local REI during a 20% off sale for 150)
3. KIT1526 For 480/480R Foot Packs only - (this kit includes 4 rubber feet for the foot pack above and is difficult to find - I ordered through Amazon) ($80)

i'm looking for a similar setup. Do you mean you want to post pictures directly from your iPhone? probably the easiest way to post pictures here would be to snap a few photos with the phone, download to your computer and then get back on this thread, hit the "advance" button close to the bottom and the new reply screen you will see the "manage attachments" button. click the button and find the photos on your computer to upload to the thread.
You can do this from your iPhone as well without having to upload to a computer. Follow the same instructions.
I'm sure the Bimmerpost app has a similar function. If you need instructions for doing it directly from the app let me know.

I'm using the iPhone app for this board - was really hoping to upload pics directly without going thru the home computer...you can do this on the bimmerfest bimmerapp for iPhone, but I can't figure out how to do it here...if it can't be done I will go thru the pia computer :/
