I already have it, but I'm overseas. The pricing is close to what I've paid. I think it's worth it...you definitly feel the extra power when you accelerate. It's not a big difference, but you do notice that the X6 feels faster and has more aggressive throttle response. I could've gone with aftermarket options that gives you more HP and torque, however, I took the safe route...I didn't want to risk voiding the warranty.

Don't buy this. Add Dinan's Power Kit. It just became available and adds 95hp and 123lbs of torque. I am going to have it installed on my in the next few weeks at my dealer.

Here's an "official" link at the BMW Accessories page from bmwusa.com, confirming that availability is limited to x50i's produced up to April 2010:

I wonder why they don't support later versions of the 50i than 4-10. It's the same engine, isn't it? Could it be the 8-speed transmission?

I have a 2011 X6 50i with 8 Spd. I picked her up April 27. I am assuming that falls under the "produced up to 04/10"

but you could be right about the 8 spd having something to do with it. AFAIK, engines are the same.

I am beginning to think any 2011 X6 are not eligible. I believe my 2011 X6 was produced in mid April 2010 and probably will not be eligible for the power upgrade. I found this from bimmerfile.com
http://www.bimmerfile.com/2010/10/02...ormance-parts/

"Perhaps the most exciting new development is the announcement of a BMW Performance Power Kit for 2008-2010 X6 xDrive35i and X6 xDrive50i models."

Notice is says 2010. April 2010 production started the 2011 MY.

Confirmed with parts manager...

the power kit is only avail for vehicles built up to March 31. I am sure this has to do with the change over to the 8 speed. However he did say are working on a pwr kit for the 2011 MY. no eta

Ugh. No way I'm doing dinan. If something goes wrong and your're not near a "dinan" BMW, you are screwed.

I called dinan, their power upgrade is not available for our 2011 yet... they are working on it. Luckily my dealer is a authorized dinan dealer. I am sorta glad the BMW power kit is not avail for my 2011. I am gonna wait for the dinan. +95 HP

I got to thinking about this ( yes that hurt), I thought all performance upgrades (other than exhaust, wheels, etc) were software tunes. what "parts" are they going to replace /install ?

Have you recovered? Just remember you're not as young as you used to be.

Can someone please elaborate on why Dinan's Power Kit for close to $3000 or more is a better option that original BMW Performance Power Kit 11122183957 for around $1200? After all, in my opinion, original factory BMW is always better than aftermarket ...

The Dinan kit ups the boost and gets you 95 more HP on the 50i vs. BMW kit which gets you 40... The BMW kit is currently not available on 2011+ X5/X6 with 8speed transmissions.. THe DInan kit is avail. on any of the turbo 6/8 cylinder X5/X6... ie if you have a 2011 + vehicle aftermarket is your only option...
