13 x5 35d Acceleration issue

Experiencing a no boost acceleration problem. At WOT it limps along until finally it takes off full power happens consistently. Once to speed it drives fine. Also when WOT and RPM gets high enough vehicle shutters and goes to limp mode until I pull over and power off and back on. Only code is 00433B Boost pressure sensor range (which hasn’t come back since clearing).


Thoughts ?

How do your turbo vacuum lines look? How many miles? Emissions intact? Have you checked for carbon build up in the intake?

Emission system is deleted
Intake is clean
Vacuum lines are good

New guess is Mass airflow sensor issue ?

Also when car is cold accel issue doesn’t show. Only when car is warm.

If you haven't replaced your EUVs or boost pressure solenoids they could be bad also. That's what I think your issue is since you mentioned shuttering.

I had a bad MAF sensor and it was going into limp instantly. You can check the MAP sensor also.

Had same issue on mine, replaced both turbo boost solenoids and fixed the issue, around the same mileage when it happened. Didn't get a CEL for a while. If accelerated really slow then once it moved up in gears the second turbo kicked in and got a little faster. The solenoids gets clogged after a while until there's no boost, seems around at 100k plus miles
