OEM BMW X5M wheels for sale with great tires!

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hi All!

I have my OEM wheels for sale. They have some curb rash here and there and it's been just painted over. They look great but if you walk up close you'll see the rash. The good news is that they have some stellar P Zeros just a couple months old.

I think there are great summer wheels. If you like to push your car these are the wheels and tires you should be doing it on!

Let me know if $1200 is a fair price?

Wheels are located in Los Angeles for pick up, do not come with TPMS, and I will post better pictures when I have a moment! Thanks!

Here they are, off the car after a towel off. Tires are in much better shape than I thought.

Also have something for you brats that don't like the ride of 22's, like the weight savings of a forged wheel, and love to flex that center cap.

If you're like me you like the balance of the performance and looks of a solid lightweight 21" wheel.

Will come with proper shoot and FS thread!

Have you sold these already? I'm assuming these are 20" X 10" front and 20" X 11" rears?

Thanks!

Yes sir, they are the stock wheels with some new Pirellis on them. Not sure why they haven't sold.

To be honest I don't mind them sitting and collecting dust, you ever know when a set of stock wheels will come in handy. That and I'm asking $1200 for a set of wheels that trades way above that. Just the tires alone are worth $1200. Lol

Hi, I'm new to the X5 world. I bought mine with winter 18" rims. Above you mentioned that some may not like the ride of the 22's. Can you briefly explain your personal experience between the rim sizes? I'm assuming since the sidewall height reduction from 18" to 20" to 22" rims means a harsher ride, but does this also translate to a more connected feedback from the road in your opinion?

I'm looking up freight $$ to 02903.

Thanks, Ryan

Hey!

The wheels are spoken for pending me getting off my ass and sending shipping quotes.

As far as ride quality, don't be afraid of a smaller sidewall in the tire. Sure 20's ride better than 21's or 22's but the difference is negligible. The M's come out of the box so stiff that you really won't feel much of a difference.

Where you will feel the difference is over rough road. On smooth pavement it's all the same. Cracks in the road however you will feel. If you were to run over a crack with your 19's or 20's you may feel a bit in the steering wheel and cabin, but run over that same crack with 22's and it'll feel like you snapped your axel.

I'd still rock 22's all day. The aesthetic is worth being just a bit mindful of road imperfections. With these 20's you ride free, doesn't matter what's coming your way. As you go up in wheel size you have to start being weary of the road in front of you.

Response? 20's or 21's. 22's are just too big and clumsy. You can actually feel it on spirited driving. Taking a turn with some 20's you almost dig in if that makes sense. 22's feel like they want to break free and slide, something about the thinner sidewall and larger diameter. There's no flex in the tire. Still though, the way 22's look on this truck lowered is worth the slight loss in performance. I mean, who the hell tracks these cars anyway and I think that 90% of the people who own these things wouldn't be able to push them to the possible limit in capability. With all due respect.

You see what I did there? I said with all due respect and now I can say anything I want. Lol

I saw in your last post that the wheels are potentially spoken for. If for some reason the sale doesn't go through, please ping me as I can pick have them picked up in L.A. Thanks!
