Vacuum measured in negative numbers. So he's saying you want to have the total vacuum pressure to be between -8 and -10 Do not exceed -10 You can measure this vacuum pressure in your crankcase by reading his earlier post about drilling a hole in your oil cap, running a vacuum line to a vacuum gauge. And you adjust your vacuum escaping thru the PCV line which runs to the catch can, and then to the brass looking fitting, with spring. You turn this fitting left and right, like a valve. This adjusts how much vacuum you are letting thru the PCV and catch cans. So now, what does all this mean? All of this is specific to the N63 and S63 engine with 3 port catch cans. This is slightly more advanced. If you want, you can simply do a 2 port catch can on each side and be done with it. That is, if you do not want to modify the amount of vacuum your engine is running on.

Definitely interested for my S63. You guys really took the catch can solution to the next level and I want one.
My original setup has gone about 50k miles and I'd like to go back to having some manifold vacuum as it seems to keep oil out of the intake better. If someone can create an adapter that connects to the S63 intake manifold connection direct to AN line or NPT, that would be amazing as it would eliminate the need for the crappy plastic tubing BMW used. |

That is what we did. We also created a vacuum valve that allows to be hidden away from the can. We also have a tap from the stock intake manifold to an AN 10 fitting.
