X5M front caliper piston replacement
I'm rebuilding a set of X5M calipers and had a question about the pistons. When i disassembled the calipers, the piston came out easy, but then fell apart. it appears the pistons are two piece; made up of the piston itself and a anti rattle shield of some sort that sits on top of the piston? Is this shield needed?
