09 x5 roof delete kit

...is there such an animal ? and has anyone have experience good or bad with it ? Thanx much

Probably removing the aluminum rails for crossbars... Folks that will never use roof racks of any type in the import compact car segment, like to do this type of mod.

I've never really heard of it on an X5... Yet.

ive seen x5s without them
i really want to do this but not sure if its as simple as dropping the headliner and unbolting them, or if it needs to roof rails, or if the one there has liiek flip down tabs that will cover the holes.
im very interested in this

Exactly right,,i will never have a need for the racks and i've seen a few pics and the x5 looks awesome without it...thanx

On the X6 you need to buy new roof moulding strips because they dont have the flip-down tabs....it just leaves a gaping hole.

There's some pics of the setup on this thread I started as I am looking to remove mine too.
