Why would a new battery fix battery drain?
A drained battery is the result of a load...

As the battery ages, the IBS sees the failing battery as a drain. Since the battery cannot handle the load like it did, the voltage starts to drop and that is view as a high discharge rate. I had this on mine and all it took was a new battery. Take a good battery and an old battery and draw the same amount of current from it. The new battery will be able to power that draw far longer than an older battery.

High discharge rate errors can also be some module in the vehicle as well.

so code is "High Battery Drain" -- i just replaced battery and told them to not run the Diag test for $150 (.. bg mistake)

anyway the battery dies again bc of the drainss
1. right rear comfort access on door (minor drain)
2. Coolant pump
3. Aux Coolant pump both have HUGE drain on Battery apparently

So they came at me with $2200 -- after putting up a fight.. and my service rep is the man.. got bacxk to me and said ok -- $570 for evcerything! So i took it

So in all i'll be paying
$185 tow
$510 new battery

NOW $570 ish to get the 3 items mentioned above -- hey better than $2200

Still think its Ironic that my car checked out 100% prior to warranty expiring -- now 3 months and 3,000 miles later it required $3k in work!
