2010-2013 x5M whats worth it?

So im sure somewhere this has been discussed before buy I wanted to get members ideas on what years are the best or worst to go with. I know the 2013 had the LED lights but are there any major drive train issues any of the years had that others didnt or is it pretty much the same throughout the 4 years? My main concern is I can get a 2010 for much less and do the LED retrofit if its something that really bothers me but I dont want to spend less on the first year of production if there is something that came out much better in 2011-2013.
