SOS call system malfunction

I am keep getting this message and with it all kind of audio stopped working. Its BMW X5 2007 model and its battery is pretty weak. I am long delaying the replacement. Is it related to the battery? Any chance the problem go away if I replace the battery? I am anyway going to sell it in some time so wanna invest only on things can pay me back.
