i have the passport 9500CI which warns you of speed cams. It has a USB which you can update the system. It works great with speed cams and red light cams and of course laser and rader.

Has anyone been able to answer the OP? I've ordered a new 3 series with prof nav, and would really like to add in POI and speed cameras onto the HDD. Seems a sensible and logical way to do it.

As a member of pocketgpsworld who subscribes to the camera database for my current garmin, there are quite a few formats that the camera database can be downloaded in. Perhaps, when I get the car, I'll have a play with a few and see what I get.
