Damn that hood looks sick! I wanted a power dome hood for a while now but wasn't sure how it would look...Thought I was finally done with modding the beast...just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

BimmerTech install
After day and half of figuring out things like going thru firewall and moving video cables around I finally successfully installed BimmerTech Front camera and FrontView (phone mirroring). I'm pretty happy with outcome, let me know if u need advice on how to, I'll help with all I can.
Have a great 4th! video after install |

You are right, that part is not in the real oem diagram anywhere. I do not have the beast with me so I can't check till I get home. Hopefully someone else can look for you before then.

as for others, I'm missing the part circled above, it's a little plastic cover that covers the engine filter cover bolt! I'm pretty sure it's a separate piece but I can't find it anywhere including realoem, if anybody can take that piece and take a look on the inside if there is a part number printed there! Not really looking to spend $400 on full engine filter cover element! TIA! |

finally after 7 hours in the shop, front shocks were replaced, sure enough not without an issue (we had hard time removing controlling modules from the shocks). Once that was done we did all the adjustments (height, rebound, compression) all to Kimo's settings! (thx Kimo )
Next step was alignment, sure enough all reading were way off, after some heating up the alignment was done. Last step was to remove rear shocks to change the bump stops and heat shields, well that didn't happen as they couldn't remove lower shocks mounting bolts, as I didn't have new bolts we decided not to push it too hard. I'll come back to it in the fall! I met the owner of the shop Mike, he was nice enough to let me drive his Sion sport that I never seen before, the ride was great, oh yes he also paid for my lunch The shop specializes in Subaru WRX and they have plenty of them... that shop also has Dyno that I will try to sign for in a near future, 2,3 pulls... also I found another german cars shop right next to the one I was using, I talked to the owner and he said that they will be able to help me to do the coding for LEDs when the time comes! or even the full install if I'll get too lazy to do another DIY. |

Awesome! How do you like the settings?
Btw here is that pic. Part number is too short though and I can't make sense out of it. Maybe someone here can: |

Thanks, I missed driving it...
Thanks, me too, it was dragging for some time... Quote:
I appreciate u taking time and picture of the part, I'm also can't find any sense in this numbers, search not helping either, I'm afraid that this small cover comes together with bigger one, I can't imagine why as it's clearly separate piece! I'll keep looking! Just got the cover from Greg last night, it looks great, I will try to install it this weekend, I still need to reassemble all the plastic pieces under the hood! |

I found some time today to reassemble all plastic pieces under the hood as well as I installed custom engine cover. Sorry for the picture quality, I'll try to take better later!
Have a great weekend! |
