Help identifying connector in engine bay
Long story short bought a cheap 2012 x5 35i n55 engine with oil leaks everywhere.
There was a leak from the oil temp sensor under the intake manifold. I noticed a connector not plugged in. The plug shares the connection with the A/C compressor. The A/C plug is the last connector on the harnesses then it moves to the “T” shown in the pictures. I don’t see anywhere to connect it and car not showing any codes but A/c compressor not engaging so might be issue please help Last edited by Rickfresh1985; 03-13-2023 at 07:20 PM.. Unknown 2 Pin Wiring Connector off of A/C Compressor Harness
Just replying to your old post, I just ran into tis and did a bunch of searches. I have a 2011 bmw x5 N55 same exact plug and clipped just the way yours is. I did an intake valve clean and could not recall disconnecting this one. It appears from all the searches i did today, this is an unused plug. The other 2 pin connector in that area goes to the back of Fuel Tank Vent valve. Hope this helps you as your ac compressor not turning on is most likely another issue outside of tis connector.
