Advice on 2011 e92 m3
I’m looking to purchase a 2011 e92 m3. It does not have "Sat" listed under the sounds menu option nor does the "TEL" button works but I look at the build sheet and it’s showing:
-Navigation (0609) -Satelite radio preparation (0693) -iPod & USB adapter (06FL) -TeleSrvice Activation (08SC) -Voice command (0620) -Real Time Traffic Info (06UH). Can Sirius and Bluetooth be retrofitted/made top work if I buy it? How much work is involved? |

For 2011 Nav already has sat radio but it is deactivated. You need to a code to activate it. Contact Alex@Alpine and he will give you more info.
BTW, I thought you are getting F82 M3. Did your plan change? |

Both can be retrofitted. With CIC Nav as you have, satellite radio is a software-only mod (Mike Benvo did it for me), but it requires an activation code that has to be purchased from BMW. Bluetooth is both hardware and software, but the software is just coding without any purchased activation codes; I did the coding myself for someone who bought and installed the hardware on their car. There's also a Combox retrofit if you want those capabilities.

Thanks Bimmer-M3 and jphughan for your feedbacks.
Yes, I’m going back and forth between the e92 and f80. I like the new tech, performance, and efficiency of the new car. Yet I love the character and looks of the older one. So, depending on which day, I could lean toward one or the other. |
