I immediately thought this is the far rights version of grandstanding. Both sides do it in their own ways.

Not that her looks have any relevance to it, but in a response to the above post I think she is pretty cute. I'm old though so she looks like a baby to me like most everybody does now from that age group.

I own a version of the AR-10 and I would never dream of doing something like that. I understand her point but think there are better ways to express her opinion. Like why can't she kneel at the start of class like the NFL players do before a game? That worked out pretty good.

You are way younger than me. I'm not passionate about it, but I do find people that do this are looking for attention or a little over the top/wannabe/soldier of fortuna for my taste.

I meant the way the two sides politically grandstand. This is one of the far right's favorite ways. The left definitely has there ways with certain kinds of protests etc.

There is a big difference between the the starting and ending of that range, but I agree this is probably the happiest I've ever been in life.

I hear what you are saying...

I just wonder what would have happened had a black man appeared on campus with an AR-10 (scoped no less), to have his picture taken.

Of course there are differences but we two think alike since we have kids in the same age range (0- so fucking annoying but lovable. The age group goes from that to puberty -they move out. Then there is the 20- they finally catch up and start being humans zone. Then they're in the age group we are now!)

Maybe it was explained in the story, but if she felt that strong about it why did she attend that school?

Also, isn't her argument pretty flawed when the she wasn't harmed by the government or anybody else for that matter while on campus?

Honestly people freak out whenever they see a gun, even on police officers. This is obviously a staged photo. Not sure how much "walking around" she did in reality because someone would have called the police.

She wasn't harmed but can you imagine what would have happened if a black man walked on campus with an assault rifle (just wanting to get his picture taken).

OH resident here, it's legal. Don't even need a carry license.

And dispatcher would have informed caller that no laws were being broken.

So is it common for people to open carry ARs etc?

The dispatcher would not of said that (at least they shouldn’t be) as that is not their place to do it. They would of dispatched an officer who would make that determination. It would be similar to a person calling in a suspicious person walking down the street and the dispatcher telling them they are just walking so no laws are being broken. It doesn’t work that way.

I can't understand why anyone would want to carry a rifle w/ scope around other then to make a spectacle of themselves. I am fine with a sidearm for self defence but a rifle is a bit much.
