2010 X5 Interior LED Bulbs flashing .. What the ?

Hey all,
Love my 2010 X5 (pre-LCI), trying to do subtle simple mods, one of them was to replace the interior standard bulbs with LED replacements.
All the bulbs appear to be the peanut type replacements.
I replaced all of them without a hitch except when I installed into the front interior/reading lights and the rear passenger interior/reading lights above the rear doors the LED's are flashing.
When I put the LED bulbs into the sockets, they appeared to be tighter than normal, switched polarity but the same problem flashing.

I had purchased a set of LED bulbs from the same supplier for my 2006 530i and all the LED's worked perfectly.

Has anyone experienced this on their X5, if so how did you fix it

if they are flashing, then you would need to get some canbus resistor types to fix the issue
