so all 2013s have HiD color headlights? I know the LED ones will look better but don't want that to be a deciding factor as other things are more important in my search. I had a 2013 X5 m-sport I just sold and that was the main reason I got 2013 was the rings.

This or do an LED headlight retrofit on an earlier one like i did.
how much did this cost all in? just headlights and coding I assume and maybe a movement of pins in the harness? I did the LCI update on my E90 so figured it may be similar

X5M's
All 2010-2013 X5M's have 'HiD color headlights' standard (aka xenon headlights)
All 2010-2013 X5M's have halogen coronas/angel eyes standard
Only 2013 X5M's offered LED headlights/LED coronas (came packaged together) as an option - not standard equipment

Non M's
All 2012-2013 35i/50i had xenon headlights + LED coronas as standard
Some 2011 35d's had xenon headlights + LED coronas as standard - build date dependent
All other E70's (2007-2011) had xenon headlights + halogen coronas as standard

Sell cost depends on ones ability to gather the necessary parts or if money is no object then buy the complete retrofit kit from bmw which will cost around 4-5k
