tire pressure

this is weird...on the drivers door it indicates front and back TP is 30 something. on the tires, tp indicate max 50 something. whenever i have the pressure at 50 something, the vehicle rides fine. but at 30 something, the vehicle rides "fishy". kinda swinging from left to light. whats the deal??

I have a 2012 E70 Sport (staggered 20s). I run 38psi front and 41psi rear, for highway cruise. I the winter, I run 33psi front and 35psi rear for city driving.

NEVER inflate to the tire's max PSI. That is the max PSI that your sidewalls can withstand and tested to hold, not a good idea to run at the max. Always go with what is recommended on the driver's door. Maybe just 5psi over, but not more.

If you're using aftermarket tires, your sidewalls maybe too weak the way you're describing. If you're running OEM tires, just switch to 35psi all around.
