That means it is a Priority 1 option. So dealers are not able to order it for stock. Someone here ordered it and got it, so it is possible (I think!)

edit: My dealer just sent me info from the ordering system that confirms you can not get it as a standalone option. Waiting for permission to post pictures and then I will show everything direct from the dealer system.

Doug, as always, appreciate the follow up.
Dale

Dynamic Handling for $4,300 doesn't seem worth it to me... though i know you like the AS!

I don't think he could have confirmed, because I don't think any 2013 have been delivered as yet. You could either ask your CA or wait for pick up to see if you got lucky (smile).

Can I ask why you choose the Deep Sea over Midnight?

Just beacause of the way it looks on the sun. I like blue cars usually i go for darker blue like the midnight blue. But i was at the dealer and i saw both colors and there was something about how that color looks on the sun that just conviced me and also it looks younger.

You "Saw" midnight blue? How!?! I have been trying to get a good look at it and all i have is the catalogue photos that I cannot verify... and some old swatches.

Also, anyone have the BMW apps for Android. I have an Andriod Phone and a Ipod, so trying to figure that out.

Thanks,
DA

Oh yeah you are right. Now looking at the website it wasnt the midnight blue. . Not sure what the hell i was thinking, i was thinking of a darker blue i saw on another bmw. . im really sorry.

Yeah i didnt go for that one, because im not sure i like the blue/greenish mix. Thats what it looks like to me, and since they didnt had it at the dealer for me to compare i didnt go for it.

BTW i just came back from the dealer and i saw the order on his computer and the AS was there as a stand alone free option. The car is already on step 150 i think that is entry into production so we will see in a few weeks if it actually comes with free AS.

Does anyone have the Head-Up Display? Is it intrusive? Helpful? Let me know what you think. Also we are considering the Rear entertainment for future infants... not sure if it is worth it, but comments welcome.

Thanks for your help,

HUDs awesome b/c its easier to see the nav directions and it frees up the drive screen for iPod etc..

As for rear DVD. It's a little outdated (picture and sound are great - but the remote must have been designed in Sweeden [its not intuitive]). Also, you can't control it from the front. iPad attached to the headrest is a legit alternative.

Good luck.

I'm telling you macd1995. AS is a stand alone option for free.
I already posted the screen shot of my order #18 http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=681548
Mine is done today and I believe I will get it next week. I will take a pic and post it next week.

I told you that your CA doesn't know how to order your X6
You better find another dealer.

If your car went into production, you cannot add AS but check your production status.

If you just got production number yesterday, I think you can still add AS. Contact your CA asap.

AS is $1550 option for X5. You can get it for free for X6.

~1900 Downpayment. Most of which was for first month lease. 500 downpayment + DMV fees. Other dealer had higher down payments.

Cool X6 tire options

I had the same dilemma when ordering my 2013 X6. Living in the tristate area I chose the 19" with all season. I"ll try them and see. A friend of mine has a 5 Series with snow tires. He claims it's a necessity.

My guess is that this is the Deep Sea under florescent lights.

I emailed the factory asking for a photo of a Midnight Blue X6. I got a somewhat polite unhelpful email that stated in paraphrase "we are a manufacturing plant and not capable of answering customer issues."

Persistence pays off.
Just added BMW Apps and AS- smile. Options 6NR AND 217 are in my build! Thanks to udmx6, Jero20, Pex5 & doug_999 for confirmation & the prodding on AS. I am excited to try it out. Mine should come in July. I love my current car, so not really sweating the wait (smile)

I am also possibily interested in adding the AS to my car though I did a bit of research into the Active Steering. There seems to a mixed opinion out there about it. Some say it takes away the feeling of driving a BMW. I know it's a free $1550, but I guess my paranoia wonders why it's free.

I drove a 3 series once about 6 years ago with AS, but don't remember too much about it. Back then, it wasn't a technology people wanted, but I know they have since upgraded the technology of it.

Thoughts?
