Purchase Help!

Hey guys, I am looking to buy a X5 50i very soon. I am looking in the used market for a 2011 or 2012. I would rather have low mileage, under 15,000, but willing to sacrifice if i come across an amazing deal..

My question is what would be considered that deal or what should I be expecting to pay? I have to have White or Black and definitely M Sport Package.

I have found a few, the most intriguing has been a 2011 with what seems to be no miles, but it has been for sale for over 1.5 years. I think I should be able to get that under 60k???

Any advice with purchasing, support, or helpfulness about buying used would be greatly appreciated. I have my 2010 335i for sale right now, and have offers on it, so I need to know if I should complete a sale now, or if i should wait a few months to get a better deal.

thanks!

AFAIK, only minor differences in the '12, updated corona rings, updated iPod connectivity with album art, and a few other minor things.
I would definitely look for models with the active suspension and active steering. The suspension (check for a sport button by the shifter) gives a ride and handling improvement and the steering makes parking much easier otherwise you have to muscle it if equiped with the 20s.

I think the M Sport package or at least the Sport Activity package adds a lot to the looks.

Also be sure to look for the multi-contour seats.

Many of the M-sport cars, if not all the 2012's, do not have the sport button there, (is that due to the self-leveling suspension feature?)

I have seen multiple 2011 with M Sport havet the sport button, and this was one of my concerns that I read about. Is there a difference?

The 2011 M Sport included adaptive drive, Sport Activity did not. It was a stand-alone option as well. Not sure on the 2012s.
I forgot to mention the big reason for adaptive drive is the active roll stabilzation. Makes the X5 corner as flat as an M3 without a harsh ride.
