Talking New member to the X community

Hey guys, just recently traded my 2008 fully customized 328i coupe for this 2011 X5 x-drive. New baby, new family. was time to move forward. i didn't want to get rid of the coupe because of the amount of money i put into it but honestly i am very excited to have the X5 and start fresh with modifications. Check my old car photos on Instagram (Alpine_e70) maybe you have seen it before, or not Glad to be here

congrats on the pick up and the baby. You'll going to think the X5 35i will be much more fun to drive than the 328i.

I too purchased an X5 for a new baby eariler this year. I got a 2012 X5d.

Thank you. It is fun to drive, love the sound of the engine from inside. Good luck to you and the new x5 and the baby also.

Congrats mate! I also got an X5 when we were planning on a baby. Been great so far. My son loves driving in it and he's very comfortable. He's a year old now, and he's in a bigger car seat. We have it in the middle of the rear seat and my wife and I can still ride comfortably up front.

The X is a great family vehicle. My girls are out of car seats altogether now so they get to enjoy the heated rear seats. Of course they think those are normal in all cars now

nope not mine. My 3 month old cries and screams everytime she's in the car seat. We tried everything, distract her with music/lights, remove some clothing b/c she might have been hot...blah. It's a car seat thing, not a X5 thing. The moment she goes into the car seat, she's pissed off.

Someone else suggested cracking a window as they may like white noise. I'll try that and I might drop some coin on a white noise machine.
