Post your kills
Ever since getting a tune, downpipes along with straight pipes...the X5M is now a whole different kind of beast! I've had the truck tuned for a just under a month now and all the mods have had a chance to adapt
I pull into my usual parking spot at work and was surprised by my co-worker who pulled up in his brand new $150k S63 AMG(Frozen White on Brown) Mercedes After breaking each others balls on who's car/truck was faster, we waited till the end of the day to find out...We headed to a nice quiet road(Somewhere in Mexico) and went balls out...The AMG hooked up well and had a good cars length on me until I hit mid range and walked him like a dog till we hit 145mph and ran out of real estate I'm in no way justifying street racing but we all get tested from time to time from others...why spend $ to make these trucks faster if we can't have a little fun here n there FEAR THE BEAST Last edited by Cattivo; 12-16-2015 at 04:50 PM.. |

We did 3 pulls, 2 from a dig with and without using my launch control, and 1 from a rolling start at 30...The truck from a dig hooked perfectly without using launch control and I had him by 2-3 car lengths
Using launch control, I don't think I timed it correctly so he got ahead of me by a few car lengths but I passed him around 80mph From a rolling start it was a lot closer race, I'm sure its was due to the weight difference...we were side by side but I eventually began to pull ahead toward the end The AMG is no joke... if the truck was stock, I'm pretty sure he would have beaten me, but not by much |

honestly ... Im lost for words. ... maybe I just have to line up my x5m with my amg ..... I feel like the x5m is not as fast as my modded e55. my new to me x5m is also modded......and your kill story is very impressive .. those bi-turbos are beasts.. but I will assume his is stock without even a tune. |

I've caught myself doing well over 90mph without realizing it because of the ride quality and handling our trucks have compared to a Mercedes which I've also owned a few years ago(SL500) |

Regardless, I'm loving it!
Okay, next test: Haul two kids and the soccer balls to practice! Love to see what that looks like in the SL. Or better yet, let's go to the beach! That's why I love this truck! It does everything with a measure of competency that other vehicles can't. When I get done with the kids, maybe then I'll want an all out performance machine, but for now the X5M checks all the boxes for me! |

Last summer I was pulling my wakeboat over Stevens Pass and my brother-in-law was towing his wakeboat in his 2011 Silverado. I passed his ass like he was tied to a tree.

Audi S5, E46 M3's (stock and lightly modded), countless 3 series cars that friends have from 330i's to 335's, latest generation SRT8 Cherokee...that's off the top of my head. Just yesterday I finally learned how to use launch control against a buddies 330i ZHP...he was spinning tire off the line before I saw the checkered flag, once I let off, I hadn't even hit second gear before I'd reeled him in, once second came, it was game over.
2010 X5M - morepower.dk stage 2 tune, gutted stock downpipes, index 12 injectors. I've got x-pipe and muffler delete just waiting to get put on. Last edited by m5james; 12-18-2015 at 02:18 AM.. |

The 2015 S63 4 matic is rated at ~3.8 seconds 0-60? Maybe a flat 4 seconds for the RWD. Over 12 seconds in the 1/4 I'm certain, so, it could be that the X with some mods would compete.. |
