BMW X6 replaced windshield, problems with HUD

i replaced my windshield and noticed that my heads up display doesn't work as well. i can barely see it during the day and see it fine at night. the dealer tells me its the right windshield. so i dont know what could be wrong.

Does the windshield have BMW logo on driver's bottom corner?

No idea then, we don't have HUDs
Logically thinking there's probably some sort of coating above where HUD is to reflect it better. My only advice is to bring it back to BMW.
Try another dealer maybe?

Check the part number...

There are two different windshield part numbers - one for w/ HUD and one without. Your parts department should be able to give you the correct part number for your vehicle if you provide your VIN. Check that part number against the part number printed on the installed windshield. Good luck...

+1 HUD windshield is different then the normal one. It is stated in the owner's handbook.

I also replaced mine at 1000kms due to a rock smashing it

HUD works fine, now different and mine is non BMW approved one. Its made by Shatterprufe, just doesn't have logo

Cant see why the HUD would be effected as brightness is adjustable on switch on right of steering wheel. Also can switch it off altogether which I only realised after mine stopped working and BMW turned it back on for me
