Does the OEM 19" wheels fit on a X6M

Hello
Hi I still have the OEM wheels and tires from my former X6 30d
The idea is to use them when I go to places with bad roads instead of using the factory 20's
I just want to know what will happen.....
Does the calipers will touch the wheels ?
Anyone has done this ?
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks a lot, I still have my old set of 19's from my past X6 30d, those are great tires to go to places where roads are rough instead of using my 20's.....

There were some threads about this past year for winter tire purpose, obviously. The conclusion was OEM 19' from 35 or 50 would not fit without any mod. That's how I remember it now but I could be wrong. BMW has OEM X6/X5M winter package in 19' style 298M. I heard that this is only 19' which can fit to M. This whole package costs around $3k US. If you manage to put 19' OEM from your old 35 without any problem (or even simple trick), let me know. otherwise, I would go for 298M package.

I think a thinner tire with more sidewall would be better for heavy snow.
But let me know where you found this package?

Thanks

I read it here early this year. When I picked up my X6M last May I asked my dealer in PA for 298M. He told me that it would be little over 3k based on last year's order information. He clearly said that wheels and tires, but I am not sure whether he included TPM or balancing. I would be really pissed if BMW charging so much more this year.

Sounds strange that just some 19's will fit......I thought the problem could be the size of the M calipers and no other issues, I will have to take my time and fit the 19's just to be sure, Im positive that if they fit in front they will fit for sure on the rear.....check the following pic, those are the one's I'm talking about

I have no idea about other brands but from BMW wheels, 298M seems to be the only 19 inch to fit in X6M. BMW just designed this as X6/5M winter package. Maybe they manage to tweak something to give extra space for calipers? Please let me know if you can fit your old ones. I would go with that instead of 298M. Regular wheels are easier to get.

I called half a dozen places to ask if any 19s will fit the X6M and everyone told me that the brakes are too big and I would need 20s.

I ended up getting the 298M package and there is very little room between the brakes and the inside of the rim. You might be able to find some after market rims now since the M cars have been around for a bit now but from what I heard the stock 19s from the 3.5L wont fit.
