Finally got my Carbon Black X5M

Picked her up 3 days ago. Carbon Black with Black leather and Carbon Leather. Decided to get every option except Rear Entertainment (hated it on the X6 since the TV Screen was above the center console). I ordered the 21 inch Style 215 wheels in Black so whenever that comes... Decided to go for the all black grill and clear bumper reflector.

Overall, the X5 drives very smoothly, almost RR smooth. I like how the exhasut butterfly opens on Sport setting for the Power.

Car is really dirty due to couple days of rain...will take some pics when weather clears up.

I note with interest that you said the drive is almost RR smooth (I am assuming you mean Rangie and not Rolls cos nothing is Rolls smooth!). There has been a few reviews out there that said the X6M is very comfortable. Can you elaborate what you mean? My wife is so sick of the ride of her M sport equipped X3 or our C63. I hope this one (I have a X5M on order) rides much better with the air suspension!

Took some pics just now. I know they're not great pics, plus the car is really dirty. I'll get better pics during the day. The pics didn't come out great, but I actually used a Cannon 5D. The Cannon is great but the operator just sux

Yes I meant Range Rover. I just came from a RR SC and that SUV was one of the smoothest SUV's I've driven, along with the Lexus LX. The X5M is not anywhere near soft as the RR so not sure what your wife is looking for. Never driven a X3 with M Sport nor the C63 so I can't say I can give you an accurate comparison. My wife's Maser QPS on Sport Setting seems about the same as the X5M with EDC on. Also note that I changed to 21 inch wheels and I really didn't notice any difference in ride quality compared to the FUGLY 20s they come with. I've owned a X650 with SP and the X5M does seem a bit stiffer.

Of course it is, although it was a late decision (original plan was just to bring X6M). My friend and I have ordered one each.

Hmmm, really you think the RR SC is smoother than the X5 M? I own both, and I personally find the X5 M to be smoother, at least on the roads I drive. I love both of course....

Now I got my X5 M by trading in a Jeep SRT8. NOW THAT is what you call a rough ride. I got tired of hitting the roof over every second bump.

I just hit 1200 miles. Going in for service on monday, and looking forward to finally driving my X5 M shortly after that!

Correction...I meant softer not smoother. You're right, the X5M is one smooth SUV, I'm stunned at how you can't even feel the gears shifting at all in normal D mode.

Did you get a 1200 mile service? My SA told me there's no 1200 for the X5M. He thought that was strange since other M's need a 1200 mi service.

I tried launch control on 2 occasions and I must admit, it's pretty lame. The tires didn't screech or anything, and it didn't even feel like a catapault effect. It's almost the same as just mashing the gas.

I can't seem to upload any files, keeps stating that the security token might be broken...whatever that means.
