not new to bmw but new to x6!
Hello ladies&gents - after a bit of back and forth between the x5 and x6, i finally decided to take the plunge and picked up a 2012 vermillion red 3.5i x6 with sport and premium pkg. i love it. what a fantastic car!! i'm actually very impressed with the power in the 3.5i and love the 8 gears.
i'm trying to find some snows right now and have found that there are alot of 18"s available out there. I'm a bit worried that 18"s might not look right on the x6. Wondering if anyone has any pics of 18"s snows on an x6? tks in advance.!

I don't have any pic of my winter sets on the car. But you can go to tire rack, pick the 18" winter package and it will give you some idea how it would look. I bought the 18" Moda EB1 silver with Blazzak LM60 RFT last christmas. IMHO it doesn't look bad. The rear tuck in a bit more than I would like. But I saved a lot of cash by not going OEM for the winters. I can send you some pic once I change out the summer whenever the snow comes.

tks for the responses! i'm struggling.
I'm leaning towards 19's but would prefer to go oem. problem is the dealer price tag is north of $4 grand which is ridonkulous. found some 18" oems but wasn't sure how the car would look with 18's. the TSWs are very nice, but would also prefer to do this local.... i know i know.. i'm just driving myself crazy.... i just need to pull the damn trigger. they are only snows after all.

I have 18's with conti tires. I do admit they do not look like the best set of wheels for my car in winter, but hey, at least its comfortable, quiet and gets the job done on snow... One thing I do not like is the way rear tires are same size as front tires making the car look very perpendicular to the ground. My summer 20 inch tires, I believe, have bigger rear wheels making the car look like its about to pounce on a prey. Not the case on winter tires.
