I'd like to see how the oval exhaust tips go for you. Which X5 is it specifically 30D, 35D etc? I've been looking to do add them to my X5 for a while now. Your X5 should look great once it's done though!

Are you asking which X5 came with the oval tips? If yes, at least in the US, it was the 4.8i, 50i, and the LCI M Sport models (both the 35i & 50i). The 2007-2010 4.8i tips are not the same shape as the 2011-2013 tips though.

Cool, you posted some pics. The thing about musicar is that they were great to deal with AFTER the sale and provided me with all the support and calibration info I needed to dial in the system. Install was pretty straightforward too.. all their harnesses are prelabeled so you just plug it in. I did a DIY on my system.

Great looking X, agree with jiggz, Platinum Grey is a great color... Nicely done, looking forward to mods.

I haven't updated this thread in a while because I haven't done any real mods since I first purchased the X5. I did however get my painted reflectors put on today and I think it's much better looking than with the orange ones. I'll post some pics later this week once it stops raining.

I have the Bav sound system, alone it's not worth it. There is a subtle improvement in high's with the new tweeters but vocals are largely unchanged.

However, amplified, it makes a big difference. If you have a more advanced signal processor, I'm sure more can be had. But I simply copied JL Audio's X5 system using my own components.

Where did ya get them, and how hard was the install? My M3 reflectors just snap out easily from the outside, but I suspect the X5 isn't as simple.

I bought them from mod bargains. I ended up having the dealership do the work because I was having something else done so it made things easy. Plus, I heard that the diesel's are harder to do than the non. Something about having to pull the front bumper off on the D version but not on the 35i.
