Not exactly the same scenario, but I chose a Tundra to replace my F250 this go around. Yes it's the thirstiest of the full size trucks, but gas is cheap right now. And it doesn't have as many features as a F150, but the reliability and resale far exceeds Ford or GM. Made me cry trading in my 60k F250 for 17k dollars...

I would also consider a GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado Z71/ZR2 since you have smaller cars on your list. The F150 can be luxurious especially at and above the Lariat trim but you’ll be paying $55k list (not counting any negotiation or discount), and if you don’t need the size, you could go with a mid size which has actually grown over time. The higher end Denali and ZR2 have leather, cooled/heated seats, nav etc that make them a near luxury truck. If you look, you can find either under $40k without trying too hard.

I'd go Escalade unless the F-150 was significantly cheaper.

I've had quite a bit of seat time recently in the Vossen Q7 and my 2017 LX 570. Never thought I would be a big SUV guy but I'm in love. The LX can handle just about anything, seats 8, has a cooler, tvs, outlet and just is a great DD. The gas mileage is at the low end but I knew that. The Q7 drives more like a car and feels more like a car which is cool but not for me. I clearly understand its popularity as it feels very airy with a really nice interior.
