Don't Tell me This is not amazing,
135i vs E92 M3...

Weight
E92: 3704lbs
135i: 3373lbs

power to weight
E92: 8.9 lbs/hp
135i: 11.2 lbs/hp
chipped: 9.5 lbs/hp (With a moderate chip, nothing too extreme)

Handling
E92: handles better
135i: with some coilovers, (maybe a full LSD), better rubber and strut braces the 135i could be a very very nimble little car.

Reviews
although the M3 is still the king of the mountain there seems to be a few general consensuses about the car... its not very engaging, the steering has reduced feel and its generally a great GT car more than a street ready race car as the M3s of old were... To be honest if the reviews were all glowing I would not be having this discussion...

Price
E92, cost 65% more to buy and therefore pay yearly tax on... Insurance is 40% higher... It drinks ~25% more gas...

AMAZING!!!

Hi. I must say that the 135i looks great and has excellent numbers. But I would suggest that if you can stomach the extra cash you go the way I went and get yourself a Z4MC. Sure, on a straight line it won't beat the new M3 but for the money it's the best sporty car BMW makes and you're going to be hard pressed to find a better deal elsewhere.

I do like the idea of the 135i convertible though.

Cheers.

Yea, that's true, if i had the money for an m3 or an z4mc just like you said i wouldn't buy an 135i, but what im saying is that BMw made an amazing car that a LOT of people are actually going to buy because of it's price, in 6 months i bet we're going to see at least 2 1series at every street....LOL

Still lovin' my X...!!!

peace

You're probably right. I just fell in love with the Z4MC and bought one. good luck with your 135i, that Red looks pretty nice.

The original 135i is a great driving car, but its incredibly ugly. Get the m235/240i, a much better looking car.

LOL, 15 year old thread revival.

Thankfully I don't have to decide between the X5M, 135i, and E9x M3. I now own all 3! Different cars for different purposes.

It was revived by a scammer/spammer who posted what is assumed to be a nefarious link. Caution. Mods need to delete that post.

This is what I tell people, but they think I’m crazy with all the BMWs!
