Order X5M
Finally trade in my 2011 X5 50i for a red X5M. Decide not to order X6M cause back room is really tight. Dealer told me the M will start build right away, but couldn\'t give me date when it\'s ready. How long it usually take to build a M?

There is nothing wrong with the 50i, it's a fast SUV. The problem is when I order my 50i I should of order M package, AD which I didn't. Instead order those parts and install them, the dealer offer me a great deal on X5M.

A X5 50i fully load with M package coat around 80K without tax. With another 15k you can get same load X5M. Which about extra $300/m, which is great deal.

I will be pick up my X5M in next day or so. Think about drive it to new York about 700m, told by dealer don't keep same speed for more than 10 mins cause new car. Is it true? I know I have to keep it under 4000rpm, don't go over speed 100.

Yes, it is better for the new motor to not take a "set" at a constant RPM. IMO, probably the most critical in the first 200-400 miles. Either vary the road types or bump the cruise up and down every so often if on the interstate.
