2007 3.0D M SPORT Electric steering wheel

Hi all , have got a 2007/57 plate X5 3.0d Sport , it has the thing that if you set the steering wheel lower , then when you get the steering re tracks and goes up to the top.

Is there any way this can be turned off ?

so that after you have put the steering wheel in your desired possision it will stay there , when you get out and pull the key out ?

I have that same problem.. Randomly my steering will go up from my "desired" position. I haven't found anything about it. Just everytime it goes up I just move it down...
