switch to the pirelli scorpion ice and snow in the same size if you want to keep the look and still have good traction

I'm running 22" 300M style with Pirelli all seasons lol... you guys are nuts, for the price of your winter setup's you could buy another car soley for winter use... lol winter tires aren't going to save your car from someone else SLIDING into it because they have improper tires.

I wonder, what are the smallest wheels I can put on the truck (2013 xdrive 5.0)? It came with base 18x8.5 with 255/55 tires - but I'd like to get a set of wheels even smaller and narrower, with taller profile tires for winter snow driving. If anyone has the info on the smallest wheel that will fit my vehicle, please let me know.

This looks absolutely fantastic. I'd love to get a 20" setup of these and run summer tires, and keep the 214's for winter

Thanks! I've contemplated replacing my staggered 20" 333's with a set of these for summer as well. I'm really happy with how they look.

I have a 2013 35i Sport Activity and it has the staggered setup 315s on the rear and 275s in the front.

Just ordered 275/40-20 squared tire and wheel package - Pirelli Winter Carving Edge Run Flats on Niche M133 black 20s with ET40. Should look cool with the Alpine White and perform good in snow, even though they are a bit wide - just didn't want to go to narrow given the fender flare.

What offsets did you go with? Thinking of going for these in gunmetal or black for a winter setup on our '13 x5d.

Also, did you buy directly from VMR? Is that also a standard center cap?

Thanks.

No clue on offsets. I ordered them through my local Discount Tire who worked with VMR directly because the wheels had to be bored for the X5. That is the stock center cap from my 333's.

For those who switch from 20" staggered (315/35 in the rear and 275/40 in the front) to 18" stock in the winter, does the X5 look funny with the extended wheel arches on it? Debating whether or not I will need the extended wheel arches to protect the sides of the X5, or if it will look funny with the factory arches that come with it stock with the 18's, since the tires will most likely stick out about an inch from the body. Won't know what it looks like aesthetically, until I put the 20's on in the spring.

Thanks

Switched from my 20" staggered 214 wheels on Bridgestone RFTs to 18" OEM 209 wheels on Bridgestone Blizzards 255/55/18 all around for the winter!

Looks like you have the extended wheel arches? Front and back? How does it look from the side and back?

Thanks

Frankly it looks quite mismatched that's why I painted the wheels black to minimize the visual impairment of the small narrow wheels underneath the flared arches...

I didn't want the 18s and narrower tires (255s) as I thought it would look odd with the fender extensions, so I just went with a squared 20" set of 275/40-20s on black Niche M133 20X10 wheels. I ordered them from EAS, but haven't received them yet. I went with Pirelli Winter Carving Run Flat snows as I didn't want to get a spare and it's my wife's car. These should look similar to the stock set-up, just not as wide in the back, but defo wider than 255.

You could do some 20mm spacers in the rear and that would bring them out closer to the fender edge with the extended flare. Looks pretty good though with the black wheels.
