High Mileage 2012 X5 35i

Just a note to tell all that my good friend (and road warrior) just hit 100K on his 2012 X5 35i Premium. He's not much of a car guy and services it at the dealer and sometimes at a local tire shop kind of place I wouldn't take my kid's Ford Escape too. He runs it hard and I think it's been in two accidents. ZERO mechanical issues to date. A few electrical problems with power drivers seat and temp read out on dash but I think that was due to one of the accidents. Three sets of OEM RF's installed. Still looks great inside and out with next to no wear showing on seats, door panels, etc. You get a reminder of really how well built and high quality these cars are when you look at the overall condition of one with 100K and going strong.

Without a warranty, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole. Since it's beyond BMW's extended warranty, I'd look to a 3rd party.

I think he was just sharing his friend's experience of owning an X5 through 100k...I don't think he's looking at buying it.

Good story. High miles are a good sign but its still only a few years old. I get encouraged though when I see alot of early X5 models in my area running around.

He's actually only had it two and a half years. It's in constant motion.
