Removing rear center console air vent?

Something knocked the climate controls in the rear in and also the side to side adjuster knob to the vents. I was wondering if anyone knew how that portion of the car came apart so that I can reassemble everything?

Still looking for this info if anyone knows a DIY or how to do it.

You have to remove the side carpet panels first. Once you've done that you will be able to disassemble the rear console area to get to the vent.

If it was my X5 I would hazard a guess and say FROM KIDS KICKING IT.

One of the rear console vents (pass side) has a broken vent. Also interested in how to replace/part#s.
