not waiting for spring
I should probably have just one thread with all updates I'm doing, that's later but for now another thread.
I had my car in the service at BMW service center last week for first time since I upgraded to X5M, oil change, new vipers, over all check, they had to replace 2 out of 3 washer motors (it took them forever), based on nature of this fix, repair bulletin told them that this not covered under warranty (bad residue), I was able to convince them otherwise. The loaner was joy to drive 2015 535i Yesterday I went to Turner motorsport to check on coilovers settings, the only thing they were able to tell me that softness is set to 3, I understand that it can go from 0 – 9. I’m pretty happy with the ride quality so I will keep it at that. Also there are no other modifications has been done to the car (no tune), this is kind of a good news for me, as I like to start with clean slate. Finally after 10 days of vacation, I was able to spend half a day with my car last night, so far: LED internal lights upgrade (the glove compartment fuse never blew I was very surprised), ///M kidney grill covers, Pedal Haus quick release license plate, Pedal Haus pedals, Pedal Haus shifters, ///M Performance steering wheel, IND black/clear side markers (what a b*** to install, I broke few pins, also BMW service didn’t install water reservoir correctly and half of the marker won’t even go in the fender) Next on the list, everything on hand, just need to find time to install: the rest of IND package, color matched front and rear markers, IND painted black glossy badges, ///M rear license plate cover, that should carry me to spring where the following will go on (front spoiler, rear diffuser, exhaust tips and hood) |

Thank you, you were my inspiration for majority of this mods, especially thanks for Pedal Haus reference! I love their products and services!
For the hood I actually got Hamann replica from eBay, its already came in primed, it needs to be painted still, It does look very similar to X6M hood but lighter and cheaper (money wise), I have some doubts about how it's gonna fit but I guess we will wait and see... |

Looks like you can use front color matched bumper plugs for those holes in the bumper...I had the same issue after switching to a tow hook plate, can't even tell there were holes after I installed the plugs

WOW! Love that steering wheel!
Tell me about the V1 mount. Was thinking of doing the Mirror mod in the X5M, but I use the V1 in whatever vehicle I am driving on any particular day. |

I'm using Blendmount from www.blendmount.com, kinda on expensive side but product is just great, they also offer product call mirrortap which allows you to tap in to your existing light wiring (but first I found it somewhat hard to use and second I ended up using Valentine's bluetooth module so I just used Valentine's tap kit). The blendmount uses your existing suction cup mount, for the base, so in order for you to re use radar in different car you will just need to order another suction cup holder (shouldn't be expensive), at the same time it's very easy to remove the radar from holder, just disconnect the wire and slide it out. I also got the Concealed Display unit which I never installed. |

I hardwired mine to the upper dome light out of other drivers site so people don't use me as their radar detector...I have the V1 concealed unit on my dash so its only in my line of sight...I have since moved it to the passenger side visor so it has a clear view out of the front n rear window

Has the V1 been good to you? Mine is brand new with latest software.
While it seems to find every shopping center, PoPo will roll up on me and V1 won't make a sound. Either they are not running radar or V1 doesn't see them at all? It seems to be about a 60/40 chance it will pick up a rolling revenue generator. I have also noticed that my smart phone with swipe feature will light up the lazer sensor. |

I do have Bluetooth unit as well and software but not really using it, I found it easer just to push knob if sounds become to loud.

But for real the steering wheel looks amazing. It keeps getting pushed back on the mod list. Currently it's behind springs and a NBT retrofit. Then honestly i think i'm out of possible mods. |
