Will 20 inch 214 style wheels fit my 2009 X5 30i?
Hello, I recently purchased a 2009 x5 30i with 130,000 miles in silver. It came with factory 18 inch rims but I wanted to upgrade but keep it factory. I bought a set of staggered 21” black rims but my mechanic said they didn’t fit the hub bore. After doing more research I think the 20” black 214 style rims should but I wanted confirmation first before I bought another set of wheels I can’t use. I also read that the size of the rims may mess up the drive train but I’m not sure. Will I be okay if I purchase a set of these rims?

I run 20” y spike 336 staggered 275/40-20 front and 315/35-20 rear on my 2012 3.5i Lci.
Also be shure you got the same (new) tyres front and rear. To mutch diverence in profiel depth or tyre circumference can scrap your Xdrive gearbox. F15 wheels would fit. There are some treads about in on the forum. And just a personal note, I guess that 20” will give a bit of comfort, the RFT are not so comfortabel and loud. |

These are the 21” staggered rim at I bought that the mechanic said won’t fit the hub bore for my 2009 X5 30i. Is he right? Do I have to settle for the 20” 214 style rims for my car?
I keep trying to attach images of the rims but when I hit submit on the post, it posts without the pictures. How do I fix that? |

Well sure, if the hub bore is wrong, it’s wrong 🤷🏽‍♂️.
Hub bore for a e70 is 74.1. If the bore on those wheels are to small you MIGHT be able to have them machined out. Style 214 were a sport package option for e70s 2009-2013 so yes they will fit. If whoever sold you those wheels said they are bmw wheels, they’re not. They may FIT a bmw, but which one, who knows. Even if the hub bore was correct I’d be curious if the offset and back spacing would work. |
