different steering wheels?

Both are 2011 x5 3.5's one has the silver living under the steering wheel (and fatter wheel) one doesnt.. can someone explain?

there is no "sport package" listed for 2011.

I dont know if you're speaking of the sport activity model or Msport model (msport would probably have an M=badge as well)

The truck i'm looking it is the "35i premium". Which wheel would it have?

Sport Activity Package. The one with the thicker wheel also has sport seats in your picture which are part of the Sport Activity Package according to BMW's website.

2008 BMW 128  [0.00]
Top is the steering wheel for the Sport activity model and the 2nd is the base/prem/35D model. The M-sport is thicker all black and has no silver trim...

ahhhhhhhhi see it... ALL the new steering wheels come with the silver trim... the other steering wheel is a 2007 model...

I have a 2011 X35D and it looks just like that bottom pic except different color.

Just taking a guess but I believe the 2009 models, regardless of package options had the steering wheel with the silver trim. For the 2010 and 2011 models, the steering wheel with the silver trim only came with the optional Sport Activity Package. The only reason I'm saying that is because I test drove many '09 and '10 X5's. The steering wheel difference caught my eye as well.
