X5M shifts by itself in M/S

Occasionally, on red light, I would put the X5M to M/S (manual shift) while the car is on stop - car shifts by itself from 1st to 2nd gear without me doing anything. And sometimes, this happens a split second after a shift (via paddle) it jumps from 1st then shifts to 2nd gear (automatically) and split second later, I shift, it goes to 3rd. This is very annoying.

I think I've read somewhere on the forums that is is due to a bad transmission solenoid or something but I could not find it anymore.

Any inputs?

I believe that the vehicle will shift from 1st to 2nd in manual mode when launch control is used...this could be related.

EDIT: If you elaborate on your specific settings (i.e., using LC or not, EDC only or MDM Power mode, etc.) maybe we can replicate what's happening to you.

same here, no LC, MDM and S mode, Stage 1 (culprit?)

I tried it this weekend: Manual S Mode, MDM, No LC...car did not shift 1-2 by itself...just bounced off the rev limiter...I have BMS Stage 1 on it...

If you're at a stop, and move it over to M/S then it will activate Sport mode. If you hit the shifter up or down at this point, it will then go into Manual mode. Same applies if you're not at a stop.
