Sucks! I was Just a minute from home, a Florida driver was braving the Chicago snow storm and was driving to fast for the turn and wham! Moved me over about two feet.

I tried to put the X in reverse so she would miss me as I saw her coming but by the time the shifter went into reverse and saw no cars behind me the Toyota kissed my X on the cheek!

Looking at it as a glass half full I guess I will be able to get rid of the 100k miles of road rash the front end had! The sucky part is now the flawless history the X had will be tainted !

Ugh, that sucks. Sorry to hear, I saw lots of FL plates on the road this weekend...with the snow, I stayed far away. Couldnt avoid this one though, hopefully it gets fixed quickly.

There is no underestimating the awesomeness of AWD + Blizzaks.

Wow that pic brings me back to upstate NY... I must say I owe lots of my driving talent (?) to growing up and driving in snow like that. Doing donuts with friends 2-3 weeknights all winter. Only had one very small incident in college with another car that I slid into the back of, ah foolish youth. I have had to chip the ice off all around the door seam with my key in order to get into my car. More than once!
I also must say that I don't miss it here in North Carolina now! Well, I did have to go out in the ONE snowstorm we have had since I bought the X5 and see how it handled. I had a hard time breaking it loose even with the summer run flats!!
Good luck w/ repairs!
