I have a 11 not my, however i had a hpfp go out recently. Yay the warranty is only for n54, however i have rt66 so they covered it. Oh and the transfer case. Other than that, i keep hearing the n55 is alot more reliable in other terms

My '11 3.5i has been bulletproof-no problems. I don't drive much, and have 53k on the clock.

Watch out for the Oil filter gasket and the lower oil pan gasket. I had those replaced because of oil leak at a hefty price... These are very common problems with the N55, not just the X5.

Don't forget the valve cover gasket oil leak that to fails on the N55.

They recommend replacing the whole valve cover as well as it can crack.

So check around the valve cover to look for leaks.

My brother has this going on right now with his '13 with 55k miles. I haven't had the problem on mine, thankfully.
