Whining noise on high speeds. Turbo problem? N55 35i

Decided to have a fun drag race with my friends at the local track.

My car is N55 2011 X6

I haven't driven my car fast for around 2 months up until yesterday.
During wide open throttle I noticed a high pitch loud whining/howling noise coming from the engine bay.
Speed is around 100-120mph (4000-5500 rpm)( I didnt let it go to higher RPM cause I was concerned of the sound, I shifted at around 5500 rpm)

I'm not sure if its the turbo but when I remove my foot off the gas, the sound disappears, and when I press the accelerator again, the noise comes back.

Car seems to drive well, but I'm quite concerned cause I dont remember hearing this noise before while going fast WOT.

Could this be a sign of turbo problems?
