lose the race with porsche

Hey. guys. first. i need announce that i am not native english speaker. Probably you guys will not totally get what i wanna express.sorry about that.Anyway. Here is the question for you. thankss
I raced my x6m with my buddys 2013 porsche carrera s tonight. my x6m got replaced catless downpipe from active autowerke and ecu flashed also by AA. My buddys porsche is stock. we start from 0 to 200 without launch control. i keep leading till around 120. Then. as the title tells. my x6m got beaten up totally without any chance. do you guys think is the new carrera s too fast or i got any problem on modification.So. Anyone could please give me some suggestions that i may have possibility to catch up with the new carrera s. I will appreciate!

The new Carrera has 400 HP and is lighter than the 2012 model. I would expect that would give it the edge in your matchup.

The weight difference definitely did you in. You could race a car with a much smaller and less potent engine, but if it is small enough, hence, lighter, it will still beat you.

Try racing a motorcycle. That'll give you a good example.

So yes, the Porsche beat you because it was faster. It was faster because it was lighter... and has a helluv'an engine.

I raced the new 911c2s from a dig. we both used LC and it was neck and neck until 80 and I started pulling on him after 80. I only have dinan tune and exhaust, not sure how you lost maybe it was because it was the coupe but i think the cabriolet is just as fast with LC

I have driven the X6M on the track in circuit Mont-Tremblant.
And you got to give credit to BMW for designing a SUV that you can take to the race track.

But drag racing it...is kind of pushing the boundary...its a 6000 lbs vehicle after all.

That is like a brick wall in the wind at 120mph

Its just like racing a Cayenne Turbo S, you will get the jump on it, but eventually with them being 500 pounds lighter, it will come around you.

I should have said...we know we have a fast SUV...but one still have to pick one's battle.

But then again...even a stock 2013 Cayenne Turbo S is rated at 550 hp.

Still I loved my X6M and quoted "it doesn't quite say "Kiss my rich ass" as much as the Cayenne Turbo S, but it still has a little ego to it."

Oh...I totally agree, as I switched from the "dark side" to buy all 3 of my BMWs. I like the look and attitude the X5m exhibits.

I am very curious what the difference would be with LC!

Are the new 911CS good for 3.7 0-60?

Suposedly the new 911S is faster than the 997 turbo, smoother shift pints or some bs.
